The Berkeley's and Ripley's bond transcends that of family, friendship, business, and social hierarchy. When you have the power and influence that comes from being worth billions, you need protection without boundaries. The Umbrella Clause offers such protection. When a family friend is accused of a heinous act the Berkeley's take matters into their own hands, however every action and reaction has consequences, and some are deadly. When Andrew his wife Caroline and one of his daughter’s lifeless bodies are found in their secured mansion, immediately the assessment is murder suicide. No one suspects foul play until a diary is found exposing the two family’s darkest secret. Detective Charlotte Barnes investigation spirals out of control when the Ripley's do not cooperate and the missing daughter of Andrew and Caroline cannot be found.
